If you fancy Shropshire roast chicken, you can get a half for £10.75 or a whole one to share for £19.50, both with gingerbread stuffing and chicken gravy. All roasts come with beef dripping roasties, except the nut roast, which is served with baby potatoes and veggie gravy. You’ll also get homemade Yorkshire puddings, roasted vegetables and braised red cabbage.

Served from 12pm to 5pm every Sunday and there’s something for everyone, all for £11.50. Their meats change every week, and have anything from thinly sliced topside of beef to roasted leg of lamb. They have a roasted root vegetable nut loaf for the veggies, and everyone gets roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips, savoy cabbage and Yorkshire pudding.

CRAFTHOUSE

Expect proper roast potatoes, cooked with butter, garlic and thyme, and their stewed peas are made with pancetta to take them to the next level. Then you’ve got honey balsamic carrots, sautéed tender stem broccoli and proper cauliflower cheese. Their Yorkshire puddings are made to a secret recipe created by Head Chef Joe and they make their own homemade gravy too.

You can get anything from pork to beef and lamb, with prices starting from £10.95. They cook their roasties in olive oil with garlic and rosemary and serve them alongside a proper Yorkshire pudding, seasonal veg and lashings of gravy (it’s veggie and gluten-free). If you're veggie – you can get either a nut roast or a mushroom wellington, depending on the week.

Their Sykes House Farm beef sirloin is roasted for 12 hours, and their shoulder of pork is roasted overnight – both come in at £13.50. Veggies will be treated to a nut and mixed seed loaf for £12, both with a plate of seasonal vegetables, proper crispy roast potatoes, a massive Yorkshire pudding and as much gravy as you want.

Fancy chicken? It’s a half roast and it’s from Soanes of Middleton-on-the-Wolds. Prices range from £9.50 to £14, depending on what you choose, and they all come with crispy roast potatoes, seasonal veg, a whacking great Yorkshire pudding and a jug of gravy.
